Clinical Scholars

About

Clinical Scholars is a national leadership opportunity for clinically active healthcare providers spanning a range of disciplines—nurses, physicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, dentists, allied health, veterinarians, and many others. Working together in inter-professional teams, participants will engage in intensive learning, mentoring and networking to lead transformative change—centered on health equity – in their communities.

How does it work?

Clinical Scholars is one of four new national change leadership programs, designed by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to extend the influence and impact of leaders working to build a Culture of Health

  • Create and support networks of visionary leaders who can break down silos
  • Tackle the root causes of health inequities and lead in a rapidly evolving landscape
  • Build bridges between health care and other factors that have such an enormous influence on people’s health – education, neighborhoods, transportation, income, faith, and so on
  • Transform our culture at every level, putting health and equity at the core

Our Vision

‘Clinical Scholars’ is changing leadership, and it is a crucial step in building a Culture of Health—a national movement to establish health as a shared value and essential priority across the nation, and to ensure that people are supported to live the healthiest lives possible where they live, learn, work, and play.
